THE PAGEANT 2008

The Miss Suriname Pageant, by Angel's Public Relations & Administration, was preceded by an extensive training and grooming regimen. Following a pre-selection process a total of 12 young women were chosen to take on the race towards the title of Miss Suriname.

The twelve are competing for the titles of Miss Suriname. Additionally, there are other titles like , Miss Congeniality, Model of the year 2008, Best Social activity and People's Choice Awards. The winner will be the chosen one to represent Suriname on different international beauty pageant.


The competition will feature 12 beautiful young women in Suriname who have been participating in months of vigorous training in various aspects of pageantry as well as other facets of creating a Queen to represent Suriname.

The young women have had lessons in culture; public speaking; dealing with the media; interview techniques; voice tone and projection, etiquette, and catwalk skills to name a few areas of concentration. The goal of Angel's Public Relations & Administration® is to have all of its contestants and eventual winners meet international pageant standards so as to increase their chances of bringing home global titles.

The winner of this competition goes on to represent Suriname at this year’s Miss World Beauty Pageant.
This year, the Surinamese public is being invited to help choose the winner of the Miss People's Choice by voting online and through a new SMS text voting service. Pageant fans who visit the organization’s website at www.misssuriname.org will be able to view photos, a guestbook, show information and a profile of each contestant, saying why she should be chosen to be the new Miss Suriname.
